i have a question on a Photoshop tutorial, outside the group. the link is given below.

I did as below.
1. created a custom nose shape with Pen tool.
2. Created a new layer and went to the Paths Palette. it was empty (naturally).
3. So i went to Paths palette of the shape layer i created in step 1. But I am not able to fill the path.
Can someone help here?
