Hello Everyone:

Well, I wasn't trying to create a transparency, and I wasn't trying to create a GIF, but continued to have the problem, so I removed and completely reinstalled PSCS4--that seems to have done the trick.  I was too brain fried and frustrated to figure it out.  But, it's doing fine now...
