Curt, thank you so much for this reply, I hadn't thought of doing it this way, I have to go to work at the moment but as soon as I get the chance I will try it out and will let you know, why does work get in the way of playing..? thank you again

Linda, if you are not having much luck matching between the two tones,
perhaps just select both the face and the other skin areas from the
rest of the "body" in an adjustment layer. Then, desaturate both
areas. Then you can start from "scratch" tinting BOTH areas at the
same time. Then, no matter what tint you decide on, BOTH areas will
be the same. Not applicable for all occasions, but lots easier than
trying to get exact match on skin tones most times, I feel.
