Knowing that there are a number of NAPP members here, and suspecting
that a fair percentage of them (myself included!) fail to make a regular
swing by the "Discounts For NAPP Members" section and thus miss some
terrific deals, I thought it might be a good idea to alert such
individuals (you know who you are!) that Digital Anarchy is currently
offering its Photoshop plugin "Texture Anarchy" as a FREE download.
This feature-rich, sophisticated plugin, which normally sells for
US$129, uses algorithms to create a virtually infinite variety of
organic textures, seamless tiles, and edge/border effects that can be
used for everything from Old Master-style photographic backgrounds to 3D
texture mapping.
As the textures and edges are created mathematically, rather than
through the use of bitmap images, they can be scaled as far up or down
as one likes, without suffering any deterioration, and extensive effect
controls within each of the plugin's three sections--Texture Explorer,
Tiler Anarchy, and Edge Anarchy-- leave the possibilities limited only
by one's own imagination.
Digital Anarchy produces several superb Photoshop plugins, including
Backdrop Designer and Primatte Chromakey, and Texture Anarchy is a great
addition to the digital toolbox of any photographer or digital painter.
